MICHAEL BEALE insists he won't be 'devastated' if Rangers don't make another signing before the January transfer window closes next week.
The Englishman completed his first deal as boss as Todd Cantwell put pen-to-paper on a long-term contract on Monday and sealed a switch from Norwich City.
Rangers have seen an initial bid for Nicolas Raskin rejected by Standard Liege and Beale confirmed that no pre-contract agreement had been signed with the Belgian midfielder.
He also dismissed suggestions that Rangers had returned to the negotiating table with a £2million offer for Swansea City forward Morgan Whittaker and revealed that discussions are ongoing with other targets that have not yet been made public.
Rangers have until the close of business on Tuesday night to conclude any further deals but Beale is content with the position he finds himself in as he seeks to add further strength to his starting line-up for the second half of the campaign.
"No, nothing effects it," Beale said when asked if transfer delays would impact on his rebuild. "We have 17 league games to go, three league games this week. The league games are running out, in a minute we will get to the split and it will be one game a week.
"With Ianis coming back into the squad and Todd coming in, we are quite heavy in the top end of the pitch. We seem to be healthy in the back end as well, Ridvan will come back in the coming weeks and John Souttar as well. I am quite pleased.

"Then I want to assess. I knew coming into the club that this window was there, that the club might have had targets that weren’t necessarily fitting into my ideas and plans and vice versa the ones that I want might not be available now.
"Todd was and we have managed to get Todd in. If we manage to get one or two of the other names you are mentioning, or one or two that you haven’t got the scent on just yet, that will be great.
"If we don’t, I think our squad is strong enough to go until the end of the season so it is not like I am going to be devastated come next week if we don’t get another one in.
"We are all fully aligned, we are all on the same page. There is money there to spend, but it is there to be spent on the right ones."
Beale once again stated that he doesn't expect any of his first team squad to leave in the coming days as he prepares for crucial fixtures with St Johnstone and Hearts.
There is a clamour amongst supporters for the moves for Raskin and Whittaker to be completed but Rangers will only deal at the right price as talks continue behind the scenes.
Beale said: "I know in the media, because things have been leaked on the other side, that two players are being spoken about. I wouldn’t be surprised if it is different names or no-one at all. I wouldn’t be surprised with anything that happens at this stage of the window.
"Everyone waits until the end. Certainly the selling club because they crank up the fee and what not. They are not the only two names we are speaking to.

"I have spoken a lot today about the final third being quite loaded, so nobody has taken the scent that I am saying the other end of the pitch might be where we strengthen. I am looking for good players in every position.
"What we have to do is be happy with the deal that we are doing and the price we are paying for the players and if we are not we move to the next one.
"There are a lot of good players out there and it is certainly not just those two players that are being mentioned. I do like them, the club like them, we have been clear on that. But they play for somebody else and if they don’t want to sell they don’t want to sell."
