Rangers are in London to take on Women’s Super League giants Arsenal in a Champions League qualifier tonight.

Jo Potter’s side are competing in Europe’s top competition for only the second time in their history and will go head-to-head with the Gunners in the group three semi-final.

The winners of tonight’s clash will face Norwegian club Rosenborg - who beat Atletico Madrid 3-2 in a sensational penalty shootout earlier today – in Saturday’s group three final.

Arsenal manager Jonas Eidevall confirmed England Lioness Beth Mead will not be fit for the fixture.

It will be the Gunners' first competitive game of the 2024/25 campaign.

Winners of the domestic cup double last season, Jo Potter’s side face a huge test in North London – but one the former Arsenal midfielder is relishing against her old club.

“As you can imagine it is one of the most prestigous tournaments that there is,” she told RangersTV. “That is what everybody wants to play in, you always hear the question of World Cup or Champions League and it is a hard one so I think that just brings its own level of excitement.

“The opposition brings its own level of excitement as well. We know it is going to be a difficult task but it is also an exciting one. We need to make sure that we are prepared for it, but we also want to enjoy every moment too.

“I think we have pulled out the highest seeded team available in the draw so it is tough but that is what it is there for. There is a bit of pressure on them to get out of this stage because they didn't do it last year so they have got to make sure that they are doing their homework on us, particularly as we are the first team up.”
