St Mirren have confirmed the departure of Ryan Flynn.

The midfielder, 35, was out of contract at the Paisley club but there had been discussions over his future in Paisley.

Flynn had been involved in a coaching capacity alongside his playing duties last season but has now departed St Mirren to join Arbroath.

The experienced central midfielder - who first signed for St Mirren in 2018 - has penned a contract with the League One side.

He had lifted the Scottish Championship title in Paisley and was an experienced head in the dressing room providing cover as a utility player last season.

Flynn had been training with St Mirren but has now sealed his future in a playing capacity at Arbroath.
