Aberdeen manager Jimmy Thelin is brimming with excitement as his in-form side prepares to face Kilmarnock on Sunday, aiming for an impressive eighth consecutive victory.
The Dons have been on a strong early season run, winning every match under Thelin in the Premier Sports Cup and Scottish Premiership this far, netting a total of 21 goals along the way.
Despite the recent club record sale of Bojan Miovski to Girona, who scored an impressive 44 goals in just two seasons, Thelin remains optimistic.
His Aberdeen team has showcased their depth, with 13 different players already finding the back of the net during the 2024/25 campaign.
To further bolster their attacking options, Aberdeen is poised to confirm the loan signing of Kevin Nisbet from Millwall this weekend, a move aimed at offsetting the loss of Miovski and enhancing their goal-scoring capabilities.
It’s thought that the ex-Hibernian talisman is completing his medical on Saturday and could be in the Aberdeen squad for Sunday’s home clash.
With these developments, the Dons are eager to continue their winning streak against Kilmarnock, with Pittodrie expecting another healthy crowd.

“I’m really happy that we’ve had so many different goalscorers, we’ve had 13,” Thelin said.
“We can have threats from different areas of the pitch. But I am also happy with how we win, how we defend together, how we fight for clean sheets.
“But still it’s only the early part of the season. We have only played two league games. We have to stay focused.”
Last season, Aberdeen secured just seven victories out of 19 league matches at Pittodrie. However, they have achieved a perfect record in their four home games this season, and Thelin aims to continue this success against Kilmarnock this weekend.
“Kilmarnock have a good manager and they are a strong, physical team,” he explained.
“We respect our opponents but we have to focus on the things we do and be ready.
“At home you always want to be strong and create a positive atmosphere with the fans. I do not look so much at what has happened in the past, I always look towards the future.
“It’s about where we are right now and what we are trying to build. To bring success, we have to stay strong even if we hit rough waters.”
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
