Brendan Rodgers has revealed Kyogo Furuhashi continues to battle a shoulder injury, but has yet to pencil in an operation.
The Celtic striker fell awkwardly during a Scottish Premiership match against Hibernian last weekend - and he's not been risked for the Premier Sports Cup last 16 tie versus the same opposition this afternoon.
Daizen Maeda leads the line, with new signing Adam Idah on the bench. Kyogo is left out the squad completely after not feeling like he was fully fit to feature.
"Clearly, the shoulder that he got injured last weekend,” the Hoops manager told BBC Scotland.
"He doesn't feel 100 per cent but normally he is okay to go again.

"This is a problem that he has had or managed from away back in Japan, not just here.
"It's something that we felt we didn't need to take the risk with it this weekend.
"He has been fantastic for us all the way through pre-season, done very well and for this one here - especially now having Adam Idah back, who is not quite there in terms of fitness or where we'd want him to be but he is certainly going to be an option for us.
"That allows us then to recover Kyogo.
"It can be [fixed] if he has an operation but that will be down to him.
"He clearly hasn't wanted that for a number of years.
"I think it is something that he manages really well.
"It's just we don't need to take any risks if we don't have to."
