Dundee United's head coach Jim Goodwin has revealed that he was struck by "three or four" projectiles during the derby clash against Dundee on Sunday.
Sky Sports cameras also captured United winger Will Ferry returning a coin to the match officials amid aggressive taunts from some away supporters.
Goodwin noted that these incidents were not the first of its kind during his time at the helm of United.
And he called on the Scottish FA to take stronger measures, despite praising the conduct of most fans inside a packed Tannadice.

“I’ve had three or four (coins) chucked at me throughout the game," the Dundee United boss raged.
“I spoke to the security guys downstairs and no doubt they’ll stick a report into the SFA. It’s disappointing and it’s not the first time it’s happened here, with the fans behind the dugout.
“Last time we were in the Premiership, when Aberdeen were here, I got about 68 pence worth of change that day that went straight into the wee man’s piggy bank. Higher value coins next time please!
"It’s a game full of emotion but we don’t want that. I thought both sets of fans created a great atmosphere but there are always a couple of people that let some sets of supporters down.”
Dundee United lead the tie twice but were pegged back by a goal from Seb Palmer-Houlden and Luke McCowan's penalty.
Goodwin was asked for his assessment of the 90 minutes and admitted that finishing with just a point to show for their efforts felt like a defeat. Although, he knows for a neutral, the game would've been a pulsating watch.
He said: “We’re disappointed, particularly when you look at that big moment at 2-1 where we caught Dundee on the counterattack and [Kristijan] Trapanovski was through one-on-one.
“I’m not going to be over-critical of him because I thought he had a terrific game.
“But the goalkeeper was about 18-20 yards out, so I would have preferred had he knocked the ball past the goalkeeper and rounded him and tapped it in – but he went for the audacious chip.

“It nearly came off, but I suppose you must give credit to the defending Dundee player [Lyall Cameron] for not giving up on it and getting back to clear it off the line just in time.
“If that goes in, it’s 3-1 and Dundee would have had a big mountain to climb.
“I thought it was a good advert for the Scottish Premiership. It was two teams going at it; a great game for the city and both sets of supporters. But we are disappointed, and it feels a little bit like a defeat.”
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
