Adam Idah is facing internal disciplinary action at Norwich after failing to fly with the squad for a pre-season camp in Austria.
The striker has been heavily linked with a move to Celtic this summer after a loan spell in the second half of last season.
However, Norwich boss Johannes Hoff Thorup wanted to run the rule over Idah before making any decisions on a transfer exit.
Now, though, it has been revealed Idah did not travel with his team-mates to Austria and instead made his own way to the training camp.
According to The Pink Un, Idah will be disciplined by Norwich chiefs over the matter with Thorup admitting Celtic interest probably played a factor in the situation.

Paddy Davitt has explained Idah travelled solo to Austria as he missed the friendly against Hoffenheim. He did not play as a result of the travel issue and subsequent disciplinary action.
Manager Thorup commented: "‘We have rules and everyone has to stick to them," regarding Idah and the disciplinary action against the striker over the issue.
"Adam, some internal issues where he reported late for the flight on Sunday going to Austria," said Thorup.
"We decided that he should come as quick as possible but could not be a part of this game today.
"There are some things we can accept and some things we cannot accept and this is a part where we cannot accept it."
