Cammy Kerr has made the difficult decision to leave his boyhood club and join Queen's Park on a one-year contract.
After two decades with Dundee, Kerr has described this move as the "hardest thing" he will do in his career.
The 28-year-old signed his new contract at Dens Park in May 2023 and was even honoured with a testimonial game against Celtic in November.
However, his playing time under Tony Docherty had diminished going into the New Year, leading to a loan move to Inverness Caledonian Thistle in January.
This transition marks the end of an era for Kerr, who has been a loyal and dedicated player for Dundee throughout his professional career.
Fans of the club will undoubtedly be sad to see him depart, but they will also appreciate the significant contributions he has made to the team over his 272 games in Dark Blue, whilst acknowledging his request to play regular first team football.

Queen’s Park announced Kerr's arrival to Lesser Hampden, with manager Callum Davidson highlighting the 28-year-olds "top-flight experience" and confirmed he will go straight into the Spider's squad for tonight's Premier Sports Cup Group C game at Hibernian.
"I’d just like to thank everyone at Dundee for an amazing time, an unforgettable time," Kerr said in an emotional leaving video posted on X (formerly Twitter).
“It’s been something that’s been part of my life since I was five years of age. Growing up, all I wanted to do was play for Dundee.
“I’ve been incredibly lucky to get to do that for so long. I am probably a bit emotional speaking about it because it’s been such a constant in my life.
“When something has been such a big part of your life for so long, it’s difficult to say goodbye.
“I just want to say thank you to the fans for the incredible backing you have given me. It’s been incredible since day one, my SPFL debut against United, singing ‘he’s one of our own’ will always stick with me.
“It’s extremely hard to say how I feel but leaving this club is the hardest thing I’m going to do in my career.”

A Dundee statement also paid tribute to the popular defenders time in the city of discovery by commenting: “Cammy has been a tremendous servant to Dundee Football Club and he has given so much to the club.
“Cammy’s time at Dundee Football Club now comes to an end but he will always be a part of the club’s history and will always be held in the highest regard.
“Cammy Kerr thank you for everything that you have given to Dundee Football Club.”
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
