Steve Clarke insists the goal for Scotland has not changed despite a sobering opening game at Euro 2024.
Germany stormed out of the traps to record the biggest-ever opening day victory of a European Championships. The hosts were terrific at the Allianz Arena as they ran out easy 5-1 winners on home soil.
Jamal Musiala ran riot during the opening stages, causing the Scots all sorts of problems, as the buoyant Tartan Army were quickly silenced by three first-half goals for the hosts.
Florian Wirtz got the ball rolling before the 10-minute mark with a nice finish from the edge of the box, but it was far too easy from a Scotland perspective. Musiala then thundered home, before Kai Havertz cooled and slotted home from the spot following Ryan Porteous' horrendous challenge on Ilkay Gundogan.
Niclas Fullkrug and Emre Can were second-half substitutes, and both found their way to the goal too.
Scotland head coach Clarke insists the aim of our points from their Group A fixtures remains a realistic aim.
"I think they showed everybody that when it comes to competitive games they're ready," the 60-year-old said. "I thought Germany were outstanding and unfortunately, we couldn't match them.

"The first half ran away from us very quickly. We didn't give ourselves a foothold in the game. Defensively we weren't very good and with the ball, we weren't very good, so the end result was a disappointing night.
"I thought the 10 men in the second half were manful. They worked hard, and tried to limit their chances. They managed to nick a goal. Disappointing to lose the fifth goal in injury time.
"But, listen, you can talk all day about goals, what we need to do is still in front of us. That's what we have to focus on.
"Now, it's all about reaction, so let's see how they react. Four points is the target, I said that from the start. We didn't get any tonight, so four points, next two games."
