Hibernian are weighing up cashing in on a £2.5million transfer bid for Elie Youan.

The 25-year-old has scored 18 times from 80 appearances in Hibs colours, with the Frenchman's form making him subject to interest from an unnamed Ligue 1 club back in his homeland.

Youan joined Hibs on-loan from Swiss side St Gallen ahead of the 2022-23 campaign before signing a three-year deal last summer. The initial payment was believed to have exceeded £500,000.

And now after just one season, it's suggested they are already considering potential replacements in case the winger heads through the Easter Road exit door this summer.

Youan's departure could help aid the next Hibs manager with much needed cash.

They are currently on the hunt for a replacement for Nick Montgomery, who was axed following the conclusion of the Scottish Premiership season, and will likely require another extensive squad rebuild during the close-season.
