Angus Fraser has extended his contract at Glasgow Warriors.
The hooker has committed his future to the Scotstoun side after putting pen to paper on fresh terms with his first professional club.
Fraser has enjoyed a breakthrough season under Franco Smith in the 2023/24 campaign to date. He made his debut for Warriors in December 2022 in a Challenge Cup victory at Bath.
The 24-year-old marked his first professional start in style, crossing for the bonus-point try in a 43-25 victory over Leinster in round one of the BKT URC at Scotstoun.
He said: “It means the world to me. “I love this club and the opportunities for development I’ve had here have been brilliant.
"To have the chance to keep developing under Franco and the coaches here is exactly what I feel like I need at this stage in my career.
“Being in the squad here, you learn so much from those around you. We’ve got a superb group of hookers here, and to have the chance to come in and learn from a pack full of international-calibre players is priceless for me.
“I’ve really enjoyed the opportunities I’ve had to get out and get stuck in on game day, too, and I just want to keep putting my hand up for selection. I’m loving my rugby right now and I just want to keep on developing.”

Head Coach Smith added: “We’re excited to continue to work with Angus, as we continue to help him develop into the best version of himself on and off the field.
“He has performed well each time he has been selected and works closely with both his team-mates and coaches to seek to improve in all aspects of his game.
“We know how proud Angus is to represent this club and we look forward to seeing him add to his tally of appearances across the next couple of seasons.”
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
