Beloved football periodical Nutmeg is teaming up with The Herald to produce a near 200-page Euro 2024 special edition ahead of the summer tournament in Germany.

The design will be handled by Nutmeg's acclaimed art department while writers from both companies will contribute to the final product.

The cover story features an exclusive interview between Scotland manager Steve Clarke and award-winning journalist Dani Garavelli.

Also featured are sit-downs with key striker Lyndon Dykes and young starlet Nathan Patterson.

There will be a tactical analysis of Steve Clarke's Scotland, stories of what it's like to go to an international tournament but not seeing a minute of action, and look backs at Euro 92 and 96.

It features the writing of Hugh MacDonald, Graham Spiers, Daniel Gray, Kevin McKenna, Joel Sked, Matthew Lindsay, Graeme McGarry, Joshua Barrie, Craig Fowler and many more.

The 196-page book will be available to pre-order here for just £12. The copies are on a limited run so make sure you get in early to secure yours.

Nutmeg editor Gray was delighted to bring two storied brands together for a special edition.

He said: "When I was growing up, tournament special magazines and inserts were an absolute joy to devour every couple of years. We always wanted to somehow create a Nutmeg version, and teaming up with a publication as prestigious as The Herald to produce one is beyond ideal.

"This is a perfect partnership for us and will make for an extremely high quality souvenir full of quality reading to see fans through to the tournament's start and beyond."

Head of sport at Newsquest Scotland Jonny McFarlane said: "The Herald and Nutmeg are bywords for quality in an era when quantity is king. There is no better team up to produce a high-quality showcase for the best football writing Scotland has to offer.

"While Scotland were at the last Euros, Covid restrictions were still in place. The tournament in Germany represents the first time our national team has taken part in a major tournament outside of the UK since 1998.

"The excitement is already palpable and there is no better way to mark that than by joining forces with another premium content provider to deliver nearly 200 pages of the best sports writing. This will be a publication packed with insight and will bring the excitement of the summer into your home a few weeks early."

Catherine Salmond, editor of The Herald, said: "I am thrilled with our partnership with Nutmeg and excited about the rich content we are delivering. This is first-rate teamwork, resulting in a high-quality tournament souvenir for fans."
