Philippe Clement's Rangers coaching staff set-up has been confirmed.

The Ibrox boss brought Stephan van der Heyden with him in October to serve as assistant manager with Alex Rae and Brian Gilmour assisting as coaches and Colin Stewart continuing as goalkeeping coach.

However, the club have now confirmed one new face will join the first-team coaching environment with Tom Taylor set to join from Brighton.

Taylor will take up the position of head of performance at Rangers when he joins later this month.

A statement on the club website confirmed: "Rangers are delighted to confirm their Men’s first team coaching staff for the remainder of the season.

"Stephan van der Heyden, who arrived with Philippe Clement in October will continue as his assistant manager.

"The management team will be assisted by Alex Rae and Brian Gilmour, with Colin Stewart continuing in his role as goalkeeping coach.

"Former Gers midfielder Rae came back to help the club and assisted caretaker boss Steven Davis before Clement’s arrival.

"While Rae returned following a spell with Reading, Gilmour stepped up from his role in the academy to take on first-team duties which include supporting players progressing from the academy into the Men’s first team.

"Stewart will continue in his role as the club’s lead goalkeeping coach after taking on the first-team duties in 2017.

"Tom Taylor will also join the management set-up as Head of Performance from English Premier League side Brighton later this month."

Rae said: “I’m delighted to be back at Rangers for the rest of the season.

“Everyone knows how much this club means to me and I am determined to help the gaffer and Stephan bring silverware back to Rangers.

“We are still in four competitions and we have a lot to look forward to this season.”

Gilmour added: “I have thoroughly enjoyed being part of the manager’s coaching staff since he took over in October.

“I believe working alongside him, Stephan, Alex and Colin can only help me develop as a coach.

“Now we are determined to bring success to the club.”
