Philippe Clement has admitted he is "curious" to truly discover the foundation of his Rangers team in his first competitive match in charge.
The Ibrox side host Hibs in Scottish Premiership duty this afternoon with Clement selecting his first line-up after just a couple days of training with his players.
And while Clement admitted the performance is not expected to be a perfect representation of his style, he will be keeping a close eye on the reaction of his players in his debut match.
Asked what he expects from his players, Clement told BBC Sportsound: "I expect to see the things that we have practiced - not in perfection because it is impossible after two training sessions.
"I want to see really good mentality, never giving up mentality - showing the fans the passion.
"I want to see them playing forwards because they were playing too much lateral and backward in the past.
"I am curious about the reaction now and I want to create back the synergy between the fans and the players by playing a good aggressive football style.
"That's not something you can do in two days or in two weeks, it's hard work every day with the squad, with the staff, with everybody.

"And then in a few months it will be there for sure. Now, I am curious to see what we have got already now.
"It's like the foundation for our team, what is it for the moment? I am curious about that."
And Clement then urged Rangers supporters to stick by the players throughout potential "difficult moments".
On a message to fans, he added: "A clear message. If they stay behind them all the time also in the difficult moments, we are much stronger.
"That's something that is a two way street, it's from the players also showing the mentality every time to react.
"When the fans go behind them we have a massive, massive energy and support here and then we become a much better side."
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.

We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
