Joe Hart 4
The goalkeeper was sent off half an hour into the match for a last man challenge on Mohammed Sangare.
Alistair Johnston 7
It was a standard afternoon for the full-back. Outside of an early booking, the Canadian was relatively comfortable defensively and contributed well going forward.
Gustaf Lagerbielke 6
He was not at his best in this match. The 23-year-old got caught underneath the ball on several occasions and struggled to deal with it being played in behind. His distribution was consistent and looks to be his strength at the moment.
Liam Scales 7
Another solid performance from the Irishman who continues to improve.
Greg Taylor 8
The Scotland international had a strong showing. He linked up well with Maeda and was able to drive the team forward on several occasions. His passing was crisp, and he looked back to his best.
Callum McGregor 7
While it was not a vintage performance from the captain, he provided leadership in the middle of the park when needed and drove the team forward on several occasions.
Reo Hatate 7
He opened the scoring from the penalty spot and was influential during his time on the pitch. It is clear he is still getting up to speed after his injury but there were plenty of bright moments from the midfielder.
Matt O'Riley 9
The Dane excelled at Almondvale. His passing was direct and consistent. He scored the second goal, his fourth of the season, and was the standout player for the visitors.
James Forrest 5
After making his first start since January 23, the winger was substituted 30 minutes in due to the early red card. He was unable to make any real impact while on the field.
Kyogo Furuhashi 7
The striker did not receive much service. However, his movement caused the Livingston defence problems and he played in an excellent cross, leading to O'Riley's goal.
Daizen Maeda 8
He consistently looked a threat on the counter-attack. Despite missing a couple of opportunities, he did not lose focus and scored a stunning goal to clinch the three points.
Substitutes
Scott Bain (for Forrest, 30) 5
He was far from consistent after replacing Hart. On more than one occasion he put the visitors under pressure through poor decision-making.
Tomoki Iwata (for Hatate, 60) 6
The midfielder did his job well after coming on. It was clear he had not played a lot of football recently but some of the 26-year-old's touches were excellent.
Oh Hyeon-gyu (for Kyogo, 71) 4
Apart from missing an opportunity near the end, the South Korean did not make much of an impact.
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
