Frankfurt and Aberdeen fans have clashed during tonight's Europa Conference League showdown between the sides.

The pair are going head to head in the first match of Group G in the competition.

Frankfurt went ahead in the match through Omar Marmoush, but the Dons bounced back just ten minutes later when Dante Polvara fired home.

The goal sparked wild celebrations in the away end and pyrotechnics were lit as supporters made themselves seen and heard.

TNT commentator Rory Hamilton then reported that a flare was launched from the away end towards Frankfurt fans.

Hamilton said on TNT Sports’ coverage: “I have to say one of those pyrotechnics has been thrown from the Aberdeen end towards, and into, a section of supporters where the Eintracht Frankfurt fans are seated.

“That is why the booing has started. We do not want to see any of that.

He continued: “That is extremely dangerous behaviour and not something to be welcomed at all."

ESPN reporter Archie Rhind-Tutt then reported that things turned "sour" in the stadium.

He added: "Whistles and booing from the home end. 'If you hate f***ing Scotland, clap your hands,' comes a chant from the Frankfurt fans [not in this video]."
