Ange Postecoglou insists he's disappointed for David Turnbull after his red card picked up against St Johnstone this afternoon.
The attacking midfielder was sent off following a VAR check in the dying embers of the game at Parkhead, which finished 4-1 to the champions.
The Scotland international caught Saints keeper Remi Matthews around his face with his outstretched boot.
After originally being given a yellow card by referee Kevin Clancy, the 23-year-old was ordered off after the official checked the pitch side monitor.
While Postecoglou didn't seem to have an issue with the decision itself, the Australian was certainly unhappy with the length of time taken to come to the overall outcome.
He said: “The referee dealt with it, gave him a yellow card, but nowadays obviously there are other eyes on it.
“The keeper was getting treatment for how long? And then we wait until the keeper is up on his feet to go and check it. It just takes too long, there is no need.
“I’m disappointed for Bull because I don’t think there was any intent.”

Meanwhile, Postecoglou highlighted Reo Hatate for special recognition after his side's 4-1 win over St Johnstone this afternoon.
The Japanese midfield star showcased his versatility today as he filled in at right-back for the Premiership encounter.
Josip Juranovic is still unavailable after his World Cup involvement, and Anthony Ralston picked up a knock earlier this week.
But Hatate slotted into the unfamiliar position with ease, even managing to score a brace.
Postecoglou said Hatate has now set the bar for his traditional full-backs.
He said: "Yeah, he's set a pretty high bar for the other full-backs. He's probably going to tell them how easy it is to play there. It was a credit to Reo as well, he was really disciplined.
"As I said, I think I had to be creative with it but the way we play we still have the ball whatever sort of defensive frailties it may have had I still felt he was disciplined enough to do the job for us and also give us something going forward. I think he did that.
"He scored two goals when his general play was really good and composed. Again, credit to him."
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
