ST JOHNSTONE could look to Watford and Sweden goalkeeper Pontus Dahlberg as a possible replacement for Zander Clark, according to reports.

Callum Davidson is on the lookout for a new No1 after Clark departed the club following the expiry of his contract this summer.

Saints had previously hoped to bring in Sam Walker from Kilmarnock, but with Killie's first choice Zach Hemming injured, this move now looks unlikely.

The Sun now report that the Perth outfit could look to Dahlberg, who has two international caps for his country.

The 23-year-old has also spent time on loan at Gillingham and Doncaster during his short career to date.

Davidson is looking for a new first choice to join Elliot Parish at McDiarmid Park.

If a deal was completed, the club then hope to loan out youngster Ross Sinclair for some valuable game time.
