HEAVYWEIGHT boxing champion Tyson Fury is set to publish a new autobiography, Gloves Off, in partnership with Century publishers.

Fury pulls no punches in his most insightful, comprehensive and entertaining book yet, which chronicles for the first time in full his inspirational story – the rise, the fall, and the rise again, which saw him come back from the brink of suicide to reclaim his heavyweight crown.

Full of never-before-told stories, Fury looks back on his life and career to examine what’s really defined him: his Travelling upbringing, his fighting family (including his dad John and his half-brother Tommy), his beloved wife Paris, his 6 beautiful children, his mental health battles, his faith, his boxing rivalries and the fights, pitfalls and challenges along the way.

The 33-year-old also shares fascinating blow-by-blow accounts of his inspiring victories against Deontay Wilder, which are regarded by many as the greatest sporting comebacks of all time. From weighing twenty-eight stone, Fury shed over 10 stone in weight and recovered from the depths of depression to reclaim his world heavyweight title. Tyson has won praise from Dwayne ‘The Rock Johnson’ and Arnold Schwarzenegger for the courage he has shown and the example he has set to others as a mental health ambassador around the world.

The book follows the bestselling and critical success of Fury's first book Behind the Mask, winner of the Telegraph British Sports Book of the Year which has sold over 480k copies in all formats, and Tyson’s fitness book, The Furious Method, which has sold over 170k copies in all formats.

"It’s my most insightful book yet – who the fighting man is, who the family man is, who the man who still battles daily with his mental health is," said Fury. "Now is the right time as heavyweight champion to look back to see how far I’ve come: through the good times, the tough times, the laughs.

"Basically, the craziness of what it’s like to be Tyson Fury. As people know, I don’t pull my punches, and I’ve put it all out there. I’ve been humbled by the positive reaction to my other books. I hope readers enjoy Gloves Off, and I hope it may help some people going through their own fights in life."

Ben Brusey of publisher Century, added: "If you think you know all about Tyson Fury, read this and think again. I haven’t read such insight since Andre Agassi’s Open or Mike Tyson’s Undisputed Truth.

"But I also haven’t laughed as hard reading a book for many years – Tyson’s sense of humour is riotous. Gloves off will surely be one of the very biggest autobiographies of the year, befitting of one of Britain’s most loved sporting icons."

Gloves Off will publish in the wake of Fury’s forthcoming UK homecoming fight against Dillian Whyte on April 23rd at Wembley Stadium.

It is set to be one of the biggest sporting events of year, after the venue sold out 90,000 seats in under three hours.
