RANGERS have been drawn against Sevilla in the knockout rounds play-off phase of the UEFA Youth League.

The Ibrox club's youth team will host the Spaniards on February 7/8 in a one-legged tie, with a place in the last 16 of the competition up for grabs.

Rangers defeated Swedish outfit Hammarby 5-1 on aggregate and Bulgaria's Septemvri Sofia 7-2 in the preliminary rounds in the champions' path to reach this stage.

Sevilla finished second in Group G in the Champions League group stages behind Red Bull Salzburg, picking up 11 points in six outings. Their sole defeat came in Austria.

Should David McCallum's team make it through, they will become the first Scottish team to reach the round of 16.

The eight group winners from the Champions League path have already booked their places in the next round meaning Rangers could face Benfica, Juventus, Liverpool, Manchester United, Paris Saint-Germain, Real Madrid, RB Salzburg or Sporting Lisbon - or one of the other winners from the play-off ties.
