GIOVANNI van Brockhorst remains the clear favourite to become the next Rangers manager according to the bookies odds.
But Frank Lampard's price has been slashed after he ruled himself out of the running for the Norwich job.
Van Bronckhorst is still the odds-on favourite, at 2/5, to takeover at Ibrox after reportedly speaking with Ross Wilson about the position this morning.
The Dutchman, formerly Feyenoord boss, was in London to discuss the vacant managerial position as Ibrox chiefs continue their search to replace Steven Gerrard.
And Lampard has now become the second-favourite in the odds markets, but still way behind Van Bronckhorst, as he's dropped to 2/1 with Sky Bet.
The former Chelsea and Derby boss was well down the list at prices of more than 20/1 on Thursday before shooting back into contention.
Elsewhere, Derek McInnes remains in the odds at 10/1 with Gennaro Gattuso and Shota Arveladze both priced at 25/1.
Further back is Jonaton Johansson who is an outsider at 28/1 to take over in the Ibrox dugout.
Alex Neil, Duncan Ferguson and John Terry all also feature in the listing for next permanent Rangers manager at 33/1.
Next Rangers manager odds
Giovanni van Bronckhorst 2/5
Frank Lampard 2/1
Derek McInnes 10/1
Gennaro Gattuso & Shota Arveladze 25/1
Jonaton Johansson 28/1
Alex Neil, Duncan Ferguson & John Terry 33/1
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
