Rangers to hand over evidence

Rangers are poised to give Scottish clubs their dossier of evidence against the SPFL in the next 72 hours. The Ibrox side believes that the evidence will help echo their calls for an independent probe into the handling of the vote to end the season. The evidence is set to be made public on Tuesday reports The Sun. SPFL chairman Murdoch MacLennan claimed Rangers risk bringing the game into disrepute and are “sowing further unnecessary division”.(The Sun

January bust-up reason for Wright leaving St Johnstone

Tommy Wright has said that his decision to leave St Johnstone was made after furious January bust-up in which the manager claimed he was being ignored in transfers and accused the board of only being interested in cuts. In a statement released on the club website, Wright said: “I’ve had a fantastic journey with the club and I would like to personally thank Steve, Stan Harris and Charlie Fraser for their continued support.

“To the club, its staff, players and fans, I’ll always hold a very special place for you all.” Wright's former assistant Callum Davidson is the bookmaker's favourite to replace him. (The Sun)

Covid-19 'scuppers' Hagi bid

Rangers' bid to sign on-loan winger Ianis Hagi could be scuppered by the financial impact of Covid-19, according to sporting director Ross Wilson. He told The Sunday Mail:  “Could the virus impact on our decision to take him? Possibly.

"But I think the bigger picture for us is the uncertainty of when the transfer window will open – and what the landscape will look like. We were really happy with him and he’ll be on loan to the end of season 19/20, whenever that comes." ( Sunday Mail

Rangers should avoid talk of voiding titles

Former Celtic defender Alan Stubbs has warned Rangers to avoid talk of voiding the Scottish Premiership season or risk being stripped of some of their own titles. He told The Sunday Mail: “Rangers should be very careful because if they start saying this campaign should be null and void then what about all the leagues they won when they were later found in court to be bending the rules regarding their tax avoidance?

“The difference here is that Celtic have done nothing wrong while Rangers did do something wrong and still kept those titles." (Sunday Mail)

Scottish Cup semi could be held at Murrayfield

Murrayfield could host the Scottish Cup semi-final Edinburgh derby, says Scottish FA president Rod Petrie. He said: “It may be that the risks of 50,000 people travelling from Edinburgh to Glasgow is outweighed by other measures but equally we need to do it in a manner that is fundamentally safe and creates a spectacle and provides some income for the participating clubs. That’s important, too." (Scotland on Sunday)
