HIGHLY-RATED Celtic youngster Josh Adam is set to sign for Manchester City after the current Premier League champions beat a host of top clubs to the midfielder's signature.

The 16-year-old has been capped seven times at youth level for Scotland and will complete a move to the Etihad Stadium shortly, according to the Daily Mail, where he will join up with the club's development squad.

Chelsea, Tottenham and Arsenal are all said to have been monitoring the midfielder.

The Herald:

Adam turned 16 in February and was therefore eligible to sign his first professional contract with Celtic on his birthday but terms between the two parties were "never agreed", say the Mail.
