Clubs could start next season behind closed doors

Football clubs in Scotland have been warned they could soon face starting next season behind closed doors. The Daily Record reports discussions have taken place about the impact such a move would have on clubs.

The paper reports clubs are bracing themselves for that starting date of the season being pushed back with clubs considering a number of emergency contingency plans. A source told The Record "There is a possibility that the new season may have to begin behind closed doors and that’s the discussion we’re going to have to begin because it could have catastrophic consequences for our clubs in terms of the financial ramifications" (Daily Record)

Celtic keen on Rennes youngster 

Celtic have reportedly made a move for Rennes' French youth international right-back Brandon Soppy. According to reports in France, the Scottish champions have submitted a bid of €1.5million + bonuses for the 18-year-old but could face competition from RB Leipzig. (The Scotsman)

Hearts defender Ben Garuccio has backed his teammates to keep their club in the Premiership if they get the chance. He told the Daily Record: “I know we were bottom at the time but in our minds there were still a lot of games to be played and we had a right good chance of getting out of this.
