Aberdeen back calls for review into voting process
Aberdeen have backed calls for an independent review into the SPFL's voting process to end the lower league season early.
Hearts and Rangers have been leading the charge for such an inquiry.
Club chairman Dave Cormack said that SPFL chief executive Neil Doncaster informed him before the deadline that his vote was not required.
Speaking to BBC Radio Scotland he said"I don't have a problem with Neil getting involved.
"Neil didn't push us either way on the conversations we had."
"I said to Neil: 'If I were in your position, then I would show some contrition for what has happened.' I said to Neil that we want to see some clear leadership from the SPFL, setting out terms of reference for us to get back playing football safely. Let's look at [playing games behind] closed doors.
"We haven't ended the Premiership yet... the task force is to expand the Premiership and it hasn't ended yet.
"It all comes back to the 48 hours we were given [before voting on the SPFL proposal to call the lower leagues] and this needed a lot more time for discussion." (The Herald)

Rangers voice further concern over SPFL
Rangers have voice concern over SPFL chairman Murdoch MacLennan's and the governing body's handling of the vote to call the lower league season. The Ibrox club has called for an independent inquiry and the suspension of Neil Doncaster and legal advisor Rod McKenzie. According to the Sunday Mail Douglas Park also wants answers from MacLennan on anti-Rangers comments he allegedly made when he took up his position in 2017. (Sunday Mail)
Lukaku backs Celtic over Rangers
Inter Milan and Belgian international Romelu Lukaku has said that he prefers Celtic over Rangers. The striker was asked on a social media Q&A session to pick one of the Glasgow clubs. (Various)

Stiliyan Petrov has revealed how battle with leukaemia prepared him for coronavirus isolation. He said: “We were in isolation for more than a year. We’re used to it. For one year and two months I wasn’t allowed to see anyone, we weren’t allowed to get close to anyone. We had to be at home or in the car or at the hospital and then back home, so we are used to it.” (The Herald)
Sir Kenny Dalglish backs SPFL investigation
Sir Kenny Dalglish has urged the SPFL to try and restore credibility saying: "I believe the SPFL's credibility is on the floor. There must be an independent investigation into the accusations made by Rangers. The game in Scotland has gone backwards in the past few days. It looks like a bit of a shambles, and it needs cleaned up.” (The Sunday Post)
Holt backs further league expansion
Livingston manager Gary Holt has said he backs league reconstruction but proposes an even bigger top-flight. "I believe an 18-team league can become more competitive and we need to find a formula to do that." He added: "Why can’t we just unite as a football nation and accept that the decision has now been made?
"Celtic should be champions but it’s brutally hard on Hearts that they should be relegated." (Sunday Mail)
