ALFREDO MORELOS is being linked with a move away from Rangers, Steven Gerrard has revealed the influence that Brendan Rodgers has had on his management career and Lazio striker Ciro Immobile is out for revenge against Celtic.
Morelos set for January exit?
The Daily Record are reporting that Rangers striker Alfredo Morelos could be open to a move when the transfer window reopens in January. The forward reportedly told a Colombian radio station that he would like to move on from Rangers in the future.
Lennon sees McGregor as Brown's successor
Celtic boss Neil Lennon expects Callum McGregor to captain Celtic once Scott Brown decides to hang up his boots. Lennon said: "I would have no qualms handing Callum the armband. I see him as a natural successor to Broony in that regard, when the time comes."
Robinson focused purely on Motherwell
Motherwell manager Stephen Robinson, who has been linked with the vacancy at Hearts, says that he is solely focusing on the job at hand at Fir Park. He said: "The case today is I’m solely concentrating on Motherwell v Livingston and we need a win against a very difficult opponent. Motherwell is my priority."
Gerrard inspired by Rodgers
Steven Gerrard has revealed that he has taken inspiration from former Celtic manager Brendan Rodgers. Gerrard worked under Rodgers at Liverpool and told the Scottish Sun: "When we came in we said to the players we wanted this to be a learning environment where you skip into work and you enjoy training and being together. Brendan Rodgers was really good at that. His door was always open, he was a great man-manager."
Immobile says Celtic game is a 'must win'
Lazio striker Ciro Immobile, who has scored 14 goals in as many games this season, has vowed to defeat Celtic when the two sides meet in the Europa League next week. The Daily Record are reporting that the Italian forward said: "We are not in a good position and we absolutely must beat Celtic this week to get back in with a chance of qualification."
Rangers need another £10 million before end of current season
Rangers forecast they will need another £10million in investment before the end of the season after announcing an annual loss of £11.3million. The annual report of the Rangers International Football Club plc showed increased turnover of 63 per cent to a total of £53.2million, but operating expenses also rose by about £20million to £58.2million.
MacPhee: The players and I feel guilty about Levein's sacking
Austin MacPhee, the Hearts interim manager who served as Craig Levein's assistant, has admitted that he and the players feel guilty about the decision to remove Levein as manager. He told the Daily Record: "The players obviously feel guilty, and every one of us looks at how we could have better supported him. And, of course, I have to share that responsibility."
Aitchison inspired by late father
Celtic youngster Jack Aitchison, who is currently on loan at Forest Green Rovers, has opened up on his father's death and says that he is still inspired by him. Aitchison told the Scottish Sun: "Dad actually always wanted me to come down to England at some stage to try something new. Hopefully I’m making him proud. I can still always hear his voice in the background when I do something wrong!"
