ALLAN MCGREGOR: Rangers keeper had little to do on the night, but dealt well with what little action came his way. Made a decent stop early on but was a spectator for the most part. 6
JAMES TAVERNIER: Rare off-night for the Rangers captain as he failed to provide much of an attacking threat, looked unsure in a defensive sense and couldn’t even rely on his normally deadly deliveries. Kept at it, to his credit. 5
CONOR GOLDSON: Looked assured for the most part and wasn’t afraid to give his captain an earful when Tavernier almost let Legia in with a moment of slackness. Legia played to his strengths most of the time with the high ball, and only looked unsure late on when the ball was played over the top. 7
NIKOLA KATIC: In a similar vein to his central defensive partner, the Croatian never really looked under much pressure throughout the evening. May feel he could have done better on a couple of occasions at the other end, but came up with some colossal headers in injury-time. 8

BORNA BARISIC: Decent enough display down the left by the full-back following on from his match-winning contribution at St Mirren before being forced off with an injury early in second half. 6
RYAN JACK: Another impressive display in the heart of midfield by Jack, who celebrated his Scotland call-up in fine style by exhibiting exactly why Steve Clarke has brought him into the national team fold. The man who made Rangers tick on the night. 8
STEVEN DAVIS: All-action performance that belied his veteran status. Davis looks to be every inch the player he was when he left Rangers first time around now he is back to full fitness, and complements Jack brilliantly. 7
JOE ARIBO: Always willing to get on the ball and take the responsibility of making something happen. Doesn’t always come off for him, but when it does he is hugely effective and a potential match-winner for his team. 7
SHEYI OJO: Slightly disappointing night for Ojo on a personal level as he failed to really shine operating from the left flank in the first half. Missed a golden opportunity early on and never really recovered his confidence, although was a far greater threat cutting in from the right in the second half. 6
SCOTT ARFIELD: Usual industrious performance from the Canadian international as he tried to link the midfield with Morelos up top. Put himself about and always a willing runner, but decision-making let him down a little on occasion. 6

ALFREDO MORELOS: You just can’t keep him down. The striker would probably be the first to admit that he was a pale imitation of his usual self for large parts of this game, particularly early on when he not only passed up a chance he would bury 99 times out of a hundred, but could barely put a foot right. He kept getting into dangerous positions though, and when his team needed him, he stepped up to the plate with a massive goal to win it. 6
SUBSTITUTES
JON FLANAGAN: On for Barisic and slotted in well at left-back. 4
JORDAN JONES: Came on for Arfield as Rangers tried to unlock the door, and he did just that as he planted a cross on Morelos’s head for the winner. 6
GLEN KAMARA: Got last couple of minutes to close out game. n/a
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
