HOW the Celtic players fared as they moved a step closer to Champions League football with a 2-1 second-leg win over FK Sarajevo...
SCOTT BAIN: Nothing at all to do in first half and was left exposed for Sarajevo goal as the Celtic defence were caught out by Bolingoli error. Showed good handling on one or two occasions under dead balls in the second period. 6
KRISTOFFER AJER: Deployed at right-back as in the first leg and looked comfortable enough. Distribution let him down once or twice but was timing his tackles well and was defensively sound. 6
NIR BITTON: Swept up well when he had to and was rarely troubled, although he did lose the odd header as might be expected given that the centre of defence isn’t his natural habitat. 6
JOZO SIMUNOVIC: Not vexed defensively other than at the goal when he was left scrambling to atone for his teammate’s error, and was able to step out with the ball to good effect on occasion too. 7

BOLI BOLINGOLI: Recovered from an ankle knock sustained in the first leg and was straight back onto the front foot. Carries a real attacking threat and went close to scoring, but dropped a massive clanger as he gifted the ball to Sarajevo for their equaliser. 5
SCOTT BROWN: Cruised through the game, always finding space to receive the ball and winning just about every second ball that bounced anywhere in his vicinity. A stroll for the Celtic captain. 7
CALLUM MCGREGOR: Ran the show as he dropped centrally from the left to pick up the ball and continually feed it into the feet of the attacking midfielders ahead of him. Classy showing capped off by a clinical long-range finish to dispel any lingering nerves over the outcome. 8
JAMES FORREST: Looking sharper as the games go by and carried a threat off either wing as he interchanged with Morgan. Not entirely at home on the left, but always a willing runner. 6
RYAN CHRISTIE: Opened the scoring with a fine finish and generally was a menace playing in behind Edouard. Took some hefty treatment from the Sarajevo defenders, and while he probably won’t appreciate it, that was a backhanded compliment. 9
LEWIS MORGAN: Started off the left but switched over to the right after 20 minutes and was far more effective once he did. Great low ball almost put one on a plate for Edouard and grew in confidence as the game went on. 7
ODSONNE EDOUARD: Fine run set up Christie for the opener and looked right in the mood. Constant threat and worked hard for the cause until being replaced by Griffiths. 7

SUBSTITUTES:
LEIGH GRIFFITHS: Got the loudest cheer of the night as he replaced Edouard with a little over 10 minutes remaining. Then got second-loudest cheer for chasing down a lost cause to salvage a corner. 3
SCOTT SINCLAIR: On for Morgan with a few minutes remaining but no chance to influence proceedings. N/A
EWAN HENDERSON: Got last couple of minutes in place of Christie. N/A
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
