Here's how Rangers fared against Celtic in Sunday's 2-1 win for the champions.

ALLAN MCGREGOR Made two terrific stops in the first half as he denied Ntcham and Tierney but was left exposed by his defence as the Frenchman opened the scoring. Would have been expecting to be far busier after the break but Celtic didn’t trouble him before Forrest won it. 6

JAMES TAVERNIER The inclusion of Jonny Hayes on the Celtic left was a compliment to the Rangers skipper as Neil Lennon looked to stifle his attacking threat. The Parkhead boss need not have worried, though, as Tavernier rarely threatened in the first half. Had more about him in the second but it was another Old Firm defeat. Mistake proved costly as his pass was cut out and Celtic won it late on. 7

JOE WORRALL Didn’t have too many individual battles with Eduoard in the first half as the striker went head-to-head with Goldson. Put his side in trouble a couple of times with poor distribution from the back and won’t want to see the opening goal again. Steady enough after the break, though. 6

CONNOR GOLDSON Was targeted by Eduoard from the off and lost the key battle. Too easily beaten as the striker outmuscled him and fired the ball beyond McGregor to make it 1-0. Recovered after that error and, like Rangers, he improved after the interval but he couldn’t keep Celtic out again. 6

ANDY HALLIDAY Produced a Man of the Match performance in his last Old Firm clash but faced a tricky assignment against Forrest here. Equipped himself well enough in the first half and would have expected a tougher second but can be pleased with his efforts once again. Involved in a melee with Brown at the end. 6

ROSS MCCRORIE Supporters had been hoping to see the midfielder handed a start to give Rangers a bit of energy and bite in their central three. Youngster found it difficult to assert himself at times but covered a lot of ground to do his job for the team. 6

RYAN JACK There was no Old Firm goal heroics from the midfielder on this occasion, but he can’t be faulted for his effort once again as he put in a tireless shift. Always tried to get forward when he could when Gerrard’s side started to grow into it and spurned a good chance with 15 minutes left. 7

SCOTT ARFIELD His outing in the second derby was his finest of the season but couldn’t replicate it this time around. Didn’t have enough attacking influence in the first half but was more involved as the game wore on as he dug deep once again. 6

DANIEL CANDEIAS Beaten by Tierney early on and that set the tone for a difficult first half for the Portuguese. Had few chances to show what he could do in an attacking sense but was far more involved second half and put in a superb shift. 7

RYAN KENT Thrived in the Old Firm battle at Ibrox in December but couldn’t repeat that showing here. Had little influence early on wide left and was then given the thankless task of playing through the middle for the rest of the first half. Improved after the break and showed real composure to burst through and finish well to make it 1-1. Best man on the park in the second half. 8

ALFREDO MORELOS Gerrard needed a big performance from his star striker as he looked to end his Old Firm goal drought. Instead, he was let down badly by the Colombian. Again. Took the bait from Brown as he was sent off for an elbow and can have no complaints after a moment of stupidity. 1
