RANGERS were held to a 1-1 draw at home to Kilmarnock after Alfredo Morelosn cancelled out Conor McAleny's opener. Here's how each player fared in the disappointing draw for Steven Gerrard's team.
ALLAN MCGREGOR Keeper was booked for dissent early on and became increasingly frustrated with those in front of him. Has to take some responsibility for the goal as he came off his line but was let down by his defence. Didn’t have a lot to do after the break. 6
JAMES TAVERNIER Didn’t have too much to do in the first half in a defensive sense but was out of position when McAleny made it 1-0. Tried to get forward down the right and saw a decent free-kick saved. His leadership has been questioned in recent weeks but he didn’t hide as he tried to inspire his side. 6
CONNOR GOLDSON Lack of pace was exposed by McAleny as a simple ball over the top allowed the forward to get in behind before rounding McGregor. Was more comfortable in the second half and was perhaps fortunate not to see red for a challenge on Miller. 6
NIKOLA KATIC Back into the starting line-up as he replaced Joe Worrall but looked shaky from the off and made a couple of mistakes in the first half. Could have done better overall. 6

ANDY HALLIDAY Started at left-back in place of Barisic and was far from Rangers’ worst performer in the first half. Didn’t reappear after the break, though. 5
LASSANA COULIBALY Has been rarely seen in recent weeks and his first half performance showed why as he struggled to make an impact. Slightly better at the start of the second period and saw a low shot saved before being replaced by Defoe. 5
GLEN KAMARA Can’t be faulted for effort but didn’t have enough quality in the first half. Improved as the game went on and was more involved as Rangers pushed for a winner. 6
STEVEN DAVIS Hasn’t been able to produce the form that was expected of him since returning to Ibrox but he started brightly here and looked sharper. Faded for a spell and then came back into it as he showed flashes of what he could bring to the team. 7
DANIEL CANDEIAS Winger frustrated the Ibrox crowd with a poor showing against Aberdeen and he couldn’t raise his game here. Didn’t offer enough in the first half and was hooked at the interval. 5
RYAN KENT Looked dangerous when he got on the ball and had the beating of Stephen O’Donnell but he couldn’t break the deadlock. Switched to the right after the break but couldn’t emerge as the match winner. 6

ALFREDO MORELOS Hit four goals against Killie on their last visit here but had few chances in a frustrating first half as Rangers posed little attacking threat. Was always putting himself about trying to raise Rangers’ levels and he pulled them level with a terrific turn and powerful finish. 7
Substitutes:
Borna Barisic (for Halliday) Croatian hasn’t been at his best recently as fans have criticised his performances. Wasn’t a standout in the second half but was decent enough. 5
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
