ABERDEEN left back Max Lowe has acccused Rangers midfielder Scott Arfield of trying to get his captain Graeme Shinnie sent off at Pittodrie yesterday.
Lowe took exception to Arfield's reaction to a challenge by Shinnie in the second-half of the William Hill Scottish Cup quarter-final and attempted to get his rival back on his feet.
His actions prompted Glen Kamara to come over and shove his opponent and a scuffle then broke out involving several players from both teams.

The Derby County loanee felt that Steven Gerrard's players were continually attempting to con match official Kevin Clancy into awarding them decisions.
“I’m a bit too honest," he said. "I thought it was a 50-50 and Arfield made a lot of it. He tried to grab my leg and I just wanted my leg back. I stayed composed and tried to ignore it but a lot of their players seemed to make a lot of it.
“With the recent history there will be certain situations which arise. They do try to get in our heads. Scott was unlucky in the last game when he was sent-off. A lot of it is when the ref doesn’t see it. To be fair, the referee was top-class and I don’t think he got any decision wrong.
“I’m not going to lie, I did understand why Kamara pushed me, but I didn’t do anything. None of our lads reacted to it."

Lowe, who recovered from the injury he picked up in the Ladbrokes Premiership defeat to Hamilton on Wednesday night to play, was disappointed Aberdeen failed to book their place in the semi-final.
“We are gutted in the dressing room," he said. "We had a lot of chances which we could have scored from and the goal we gave away from the set-piece was cheap. There was a question mark over us due to recent results but we answered that with a good performance.
“I had a patella issue from the Hamilton game. It wasn’t a tackle, but I’ve been icing it as I wanted to play and I was ready to take an injection if needed so I was happy to get 90 minutes.
“The gaffer gave me and Dom (Ball) licence to go forward and get tight. Dom has been fantastic in the last three games. Andy (Considine) and Scott (McKenna) were fantastic for us.
"Alfredo (Morelos) was up top but he didn’t get to hold the ball up a lot and that was important as that’s a big part of his game."
Lowe is confident Aberdeen, who play Celtic at Parkhead in the league on Saturday, can defeat Rangers in Glasgow for the third time this season in their quarter-final replay at Ibrox a week tomorrow.
“We have the Celtic game first but going to their place we kept a clean sheet with 10 men there so we will be full of confidence if we can perform the same way we did on Sunday," he said.
Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
