Morton boss Jim Duffy was only concentrating on football ahead of his second-placed side’s trip to Dumbarton today. The midweek stramash with Hibs manager Neil Lennon was pushed to the back of Duffy’s mind as he wants to concentrate only on getting another polished performance out of his players.

The Cappielow manager said: “We actually did really well at Hibs. They were looking to beat us and move very close to the Championship title.

"There were more than 15,000 fans there to back them at what is a really difficult venue for visiting teams.”

“We went there and got a point. We kept a clean sheet and come away with a point was a great performance.”

Duffy added: “It will be a bit of a quieter match at Dumbarton but just as important. They are a good side who drew at Easter Road 2-2 recently and they are a side that can score goals.

"They had a terrific 4-0 win over Raith Rovers in their last home game and were unlucky to lose at Ayr last weekend so we have to work just as hard as we did in midweek.”

Sons boss Stephen Aitken who had to deal with Mark Docherty getting a two game ban for hitting team-mate Stuart Carswell recently said: “Football is a passionate game and sometimes things get a bit over excited. I am sure that is all that happened and like my players Jim and Neil will be sharing a handshake the next time they meet.”

As for facing the Greenock side, Aitken said: “We have had three good games against them this season but have only picked up one point. We have deserved more but things have gone against us at key times whether it be goals disallowed or injuries.”

“They have had a terrific season and could finish second in the table but hopefully we can go about things in the same manner as did in our last home game with Raith Rovers and pick up another win.”
