SCOTT BROWN'S international future has hit the headlines this week as the Celtic skipper mulls over his availability for the crucial Russia 2018 qualifier against England in June.
The Hoops midfielder wore the captain's armband for Sunday's 1-0 win over Slovenia at Hampden Park but is yet to commit to future national team selection, hinting that he will seek the approval of Bhoys boss Brendan Rodgers first.
Brown missed the first three matches of Scotland's World Cup qualifying campaign after announcinig his international retirement last August, but returned to the fold for November's 3-0 defeat against England at Wembley.

Victory against the Slovenians on Sunday lifted the Scots into fourth place in Group F, two points off Slovakia in second.
Tartan Army supporters have taken to social media over the last couple of days to voice their opinions about the uncertainty around Brown's future, ranging from praise to anger and indifference.
What are your thoughts on the situation? Should Brown be involved in future qualifiers?
Time to stop capping Scott Brown - Scotland decides if it wants you. Not the other way around.

Have I landed in some parallel universe where we're meant to care if a very limited footballer like Scott Brown wants to play for Scotland?

So Scott Brown "retires" from international football, comes back and now he'll only play England if Rodgers thinks he should? Comedy stuff

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
heraldscotland.com is tackling this problem by allowing only subscribers to comment.
We are doing this to improve the experience for our loyal readers and we believe it will reduce the ability of trolls and troublemakers, who occasionally find their way onto our site, to abuse our journalists and readers. We also hope it will help the comments section fulfil its promise as a part of Scotland's conversation with itself.
We are lucky at The Herald. We are read by an informed, educated readership who can add their knowledge and insights to our stories.
That is invaluable.
We are making the subscriber-only change to support our valued readers, who tell us they don't want the site cluttered up with irrelevant comments, untruths and abuse.
In the past, the journalist’s job was to collect and distribute information to the audience. Technology means that readers can shape a discussion. We look forward to hearing from you on heraldscotland.com
