CELTIC legend Tommy Gemmell's funeral will take place this Friday with a cortege leaving from Celtic Park, the club has announced.
The Lisbon Lion, who scored in two European Cup finals for the club, passed away last week after a long battle with illness.
A funeral cortege will leave Parkhead at 11.30am on Friday, travelling down the Celtic Way onto London Road and towards Daldowie Crematorium, where the funeral will be held at 12pm.
"Tommy’s family kindly thank everyone for all the support they have already received," read a club statement.
"The Celtic Family has lost one of its greatest sons and our thoughts and prayers continue to be with Tommy’s family."
