COWDENBEATH have annnounced that they have accepted the resignation of head coach Liam Fox with the club bottom of League Two.

The Blue Brazil have picked up only five league wins all season and sit rooted to the foot of the table and seven points adrift of ninth-place Edinburgh City.

The former Hearts midfielder said: "Firstly, I’d like to thank Cowdenbeath for giving me the opportunity to manage their football club.

"The experience gained and lessons learned in a short period of time will no doubt prove invaluable to me in my career.

"I’d like to thank the players and backroom staff for their hard work, commitment and all the backing that they’ve given me during my time at the club.

"Finally, I’d like to thank Donald Findlay for all the support and help afforded to me whilst I was in charge at Central Park. I wish everyone at Cowdenbeath Football Club every success in the future."
