Robbie Neilson, the Heart of Midlothian head coach, has added Belgian midfielder Arnaud Djoum to his squad until January.

The 26-year-old has been a free agent since leaving Polish side Lech Poznan n the summer and has been training with the Tynecastle club for the past week.

“I’m pleased to get Arnaud in,” Neilsen told the Hearts official website. “He’s a good player with a good pedigree. He’s got power, he’s a good football player. He played in Belgium, Holland, Turkey and the top team in the top league in Poland so he’s got great experience. He’s got a lot of drive in midfield and energy, which is something that we need.”

Djoum added: “It’s a big step for me, this is a big club with a lot of tradition and I hope to be successful here. I was very impressed by the facilities here and everyone has been very welcoming.”
