Hearts head coach Robbie Neilson and Inverness manager John Hughes have been issued with notices of complaint by the Scottish FA's compliance officer.

Both are alleged to have breached Disciplinary Rule 72 by criticising officials in interviews following their respective Ladbrokes Premiership games on August 29 and have until September 22 to respond.

The principal hearing date is Thursday October 1, 2015

After the 3-2 defeat by Hamilton at New Douglas Park, Neilson said that referee Willie Collum was wrong to send off Callum Paterson - a red card that was later rescinded on appeal.

The former Gorgie defender also claimed he had predicted there would be a red card shown.

He said: "We actually practised going down to 10 men because of the environment we're coming to and the officials who are taking the game and we have to do that.

"In the recent past, the statistics involving the officials have shown a lot of red cards against us, so we have to prepare for it.

"The next time we get these officials, we will again train with 10 men."

After the 1-1 draw with Dundee at Dens Park, Inverness boss Hughes said referee Andrew Dallas brought an "edginess and a nervousness" to the game and was not "ready to referee top-flight football."

On their official website Hearts confirmed they would be formally appealing the notice of complaint.
