Clyde manager Barry Ferguson is in talks to sign two of his former Ibrox teammates, Marvin Andrews and Stephen Hughes.

The duo have been training with the Bully Wee, and it is believed that Ferguson is close to agreeing deals for 39-year-old Andrews and 32-year-old Hughes.

Clyde would become Andrews' tenth Scottish club, having last played for Montrose at senior level.

Former Motherwell and Aberdeen midfielder Hughes hasn't played since May 2014 due to an ankle problem, with a short-lived comeback at Stenhousemuir last season ending with the departure of manager Scott Booth.

Ferguson is hopeful of concluding deals for the pair by the end of the week, allowing them to face another of Hughes's former clubs East Fife on Saturday.
