Hibernian FC have announced that Adam Eckersley has signed with the Club on a short term deal until January, subject to clearance.

The 30-year old left back started his career with Manchester United and spent six years in Denmark before signing for Hearts last year.

Speaking to the club's website, hibernianfc.co.uk, Eckersley said: “I’m delighted to have signed for Hibs.

“We have a strong squad here and I’ll be working hard to push myself into the manager’s plans.

“I know I can do well here and am looking forward to helping the team in the coming months.”

Head Coach Alan Stubbs said: “We’re very pleased to have Adam join the club.

“He strengthens our defensive options and adds to the competition for places in defence.

“He has shown his ability at this level in the past and I’m confident he’ll make a positive contribution here.”
