WITH the Budget approaching, I believe the UK National debt is now about £1.7 trillion and rising, with the current annual cost of servicing that level of debt amounting to around £50 billion.

Whilst I have no idea how such colossal sums can ever be brought down to zero or even reduced significantly, and do not expect the Budget to enlighten me, nevertheless simply out of nosiness I would be interested to know if there is any published information naming our current creditors, how much each is owed and the latest annual payment of interest each received?
