The hypocrisy from the Scottish Government over the Scottish steel announcements knows no bounds (Motherwell: Why this town is coming like a ghost town, News, October 25). This is the same Government that has just recently awarded a contract for the supply of water to Anglian Water Business south of the border. This is also the same Government that brought the Port Glasgow shipyard to its knees by flawed procurement decisions - only for the yard to be rescued and turned around by someone, Jim McColl, who actually knows what they are doing and how business works.

Please, Nicola Sturgeon and all the rest of them, refrain from the gnashing of teeth and the stamping of their feet and the demands for summits etc when Scottish based business and commerce runs in to trouble.

Do more to support on a day by day, contract by contract basis.
