I AGREE wholeheartedly with Ian Godden (Letters, October 26) that we should pull together the various university and college business departments and set up a world-class Scottish business school on a single campus.

On my business trips to the US it was not uncommon to be asked by graduates of, among others, Harvard Business School why the country with an international reputation for business and financial expertise had no recognisable business school?

Can I suggest that naming it after Andrew Carnegie would immediately give it international standing? This would be a real boon to future generations of students and allow them to enhance Scotland's reputation and their own
