In her review of Henderson's Vegan restaurant, Ms Blythman writes: "I don't subscribe to the 'all meat is murder' mantra, but it's refreshing to think that a minister of agriculture might actually challenge Defra's knee-jerk support for factory farming in its various inhumane and environmentally-ruinous manifestations" (Veg without edge, Sunday Herald Life, October 11).

If "all meat" is not murder, what is it? We are all animals and just because killing (certain species) of the non-human variety is not considered to be murder according to the law, it is murder nonetheless.
