W GORDON Watson (Letters, October 3) asked whether Jeremy Corbyn would press the nuclear button if he was told that 20 nuclear missiles were 15 minutes away.
No, he would launch 20 anti-missile missiles – or, better still, reprogramme the incoming missiles to return to their launching site.
That’s where our defence budget should be spent.

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
