HAVING now experienced the Borders Railway line behind the steam loco Union of South Africa, the journey was enjoyable until my arrival at Tweedbank. There are no toilets for the benefit of ScotRail customers.
There is a disabled toilet for staff only.
The station is unmanned so there is no access to the keys for the door, with the ticket machine also out of tickets due to demand.
What a welcome for tourists.

Why are you making commenting on The Herald only available to subscribers?
It should have been a safe space for informed debate, somewhere for readers to discuss issues around the biggest stories of the day, but all too often the below the line comments on most websites have become bogged down by off-topic discussions and abuse.
