Calling all photographers and amateur snap takers, a new international photography competition has just been launched by Highland Cinema.

The Fort William based independent cinema and cafe has created the contest to celebrate Scotland’s traditional unique red-roofed buildings - just like its own.

The red roof tradition can be spotted up and down the country from croft houses in the Highlands to urban buildings across the Central Belt.

Back in September 2020, local entrepreneur and owner, Angus MacDonald wanted the Highland Cinema's design to complement the town's historic surroundings.

Named in Time Out’s ‘50 Best Cinemas’ in the UK, it is now looking to mark its second anniversary with an exciting competition.

Here's everything you need to know about the contest from how to enter and judges to the very exciting prizes up for grabs!
