A bottle of whisky worth £39,000 is among items that were stolen during a break-in at a shop in Blair Atholl, near the Falls of Bruar.

The shop was broken into between 4am and 5.10am on Saturday, November 23 and police are now investigating the incident.

A 54-year-old Highland Park was stolen alongside a ‘considerable’ number of other highly-valued whisky bottles.

The break-in took place at the House of Bruar in the area, with police now appealing for information and are urging anyone who may be offered expensive whisky to get in touch with them.

A statement from Police Scotland said: “An investigation is under way following a break-in at a shop in Blair Atholl, near the Falls of Bruar.

“Officers believe the shop was broken into between 4 and 5.10am on Saturday, 23 November, 2024. A considerable number of high-value bottles of whisky were stolen, including a 54-year-old Highland Park.

“Officers are appealing to anyone who has any information or anyone who may have been asked to purchase bottles of whisky to contact them.

“If you have any information, please call 101, quoting incident number 0610 of 23 November, 2024. Alternatively, you can call Crimestoppers on 0800 555 111 where you can give information anonymously.”
