An Edinburgh-based creative and media agency has hailed the impact of new client wins as its targets lifting profits to £4 million.

Lane and Lane Media highlighted the “significant growth” it is experiencing as the firm revealed it has officially secured Certified B Corporation status. The firm said the B Corp certification reflects its determination to meeting high standards of social and environmental performance, accountability, and transparency. Seventy organisations in Scotland hold the “prestigious” accreditation, which signals their commitment to “prioritising more than just profit”.

Lane and Lane Media, which now have a team of 46 across its Edinburgh and Glasgow offices, has experienced 15% year-on-year growth in the last year, achieving a combined turnover of £7.8m in 2023. It is on track for £4m gross profit in 2024.

The firm said growth has been driven by new client wins across sectors such as e-commerce, technology, good, retail, and arts and culture. It is now working with Ping Identity, Taylors Snacks, and Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo.

Lane chief executive Ali Findlay said: “Achieving B Corp certification is a proud moment for our team, who have worked so hard to evolve and document all that we do and how we do it. For an agency that prides itself on increasing impact, it was all-important to reduce the environmental impact across all of our touchpoints. I’m proud to see what we’ve achieved and excited about continuing that trajectory.”

Barry Fearn, founder and managing director, added: “Achieving B Corp certification is validation of our commitment to balancing profit and purpose. While it’s rewarding to achieve the recognition, we are all cognisant that this is just the beginning of an invaluable journey. We will continuously strive to improve internally while helping to educate and support other brands and companies in their own journeys to becoming B Corp certified.”
