A 33-year-old man has been arrested and charged in connection with the death of a man after a body was found in a property following a fire.
The incident happened in Annan on Tuesday when emergency services were called to a fire on Lady Street at around 6.55am.
The fire was extinguished by the Scottish Fire and Rescue Service and in the aftermath, the body of a 58-year-old man was found within.
Police then arrested a 33-year-old and he is due to appear at Dumries Sheriff Court today.
