Buchanan Bus Station has been closed by emergency services following reports of a potential suspicious item this afternoon.
Killermont Street is also closed to traffic and pedestrians and the public are being urged to stay away from the local area.
Police Scotland have confirmed that Explosive Ordnance Disposal bomb squad have been notified as their investigation continues.
SPT have also confirmed that no buses are entering or leaving the station and it will remain closed until further notice.
Glasgow Caledonian University have also been evacuated with students told to leave immediately, but have been told that is a precaution with Cowcaddens Road also closed.

A statement from Police Scotland said: "Buchanan Bus Station is closed following a report of a potential suspicious item around 1.10pm.
"Killermont Street is closed to traffic and pedestrians. The public is advised to avoid the area.
"EOD (Explosive Ordnance Disposal) has been notified and enquiries are ongoing."
